Ridgeway Cottage is a private guesthouse. It is the
holiday home of the Rebelo Family and has been the home of relatives for a
generation. The Cottage has been lovingly rebuilt and maintained over the
years. Our earnest request – PLEASE treat it as you would your own home,
treat her with respect as have many of her occupants before you. There are
a few Do’s and Don’t that you must keep in mind,

We are not responsible for the safety of your personal items,
baggage, money and valuables. You have been provided with Two lockable
Godrej Cupboards and keys for the same. We request you not to lose these
keys as the duplicate is kept with us in Goa. Your rooms are also
lockable.

Kindly get your rooms and bathrooms cleaned under your supervision.

Do
not leave the gas in the Kitchen unattended.

Please switch off the lights, geysers and other electrical items when
not in use.

For
your own safety, we request you to switch off the heaters once you get
into bed. They present a fire hazard. Keep children away as they are
liable to cause very sever burns.

The
fireplaces are purely decorative and you should not attempt to light
fires.

Kids
- No playing outdoor games inside, no scribbling on the walls, no
scratching the furniture.

Please do not attempt to wander outside the gates unescorted after dark.
Ridgeway borders the Wild Life reserve and wild animals frequent the
road and the garden. If you do see any Bison, Wild Boars or Leopards
please do not attempt to get close to these animals.

Enjoy the beauty of the flowers and fruit on the plants themselves. Do
not pluck the flowers. If you would like cuttings for your gardens at
your own homes, by all means ask the caretaker and he will arrange for
them to be given to you.

Articles in the house ( Curios, Paintings, Cutlery , Linen , Toiletries
etc) are not complimentary, make sure you don’t weigh down your
baggage with these items when you are leaving.

If
you are satisfied with the service of the staff and wish to express the
same, you may do so at will.

STAFF AT KOTAGIRI

Caretaker: Mr. Donald Rodrigues
Rodrigues speaks
English and Tamil and will assist you in all matters in and around Kotagiri.
He will help out with the shopping, sightseeing and with any other issues
you may have with the Cottage matters in and around Kotagiri.

Butler and Standby Chef: Mr. A Das
Das will cook you a meal, cleanup and is
responsible for general cleanliness. He speaks Hindi and Tamil.

Watchman: Mr. Devilal Sharma
Devilal
is on 24 hours duty. You may call on him if you run into a Bison!
