MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR

Warm greetings from lovely Goa!

While the country stood in unity to salute its Tricolor on its 60th Independence Day on August 15, Indians the world over celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan on August 28 reaffirming the sacred ties between a brother and sister.

As the tourist season gets into a steady swing this September, Airlines and Hotels are girding up for a larger influx of tourists this time around.  The national carrier flew directly to New York to bring her first arrivals into the country, while low cost carriers are expanding their networks in the country to meet an ever increasing demand. Joining the bandwagon, Air France is hoping to fly directly to its ‘most demanded destination – Goa’!

If you’d like to have a visual tour of this lovely country, before you actually descend on it, check out ‘Incredible India’ Campaign now posted on Google’s YouTube.

Children and animals have found their voice too -on the international scene! Who can better understand the plight of child labour than a destitute child labourer himself? Translating his experiences onto celluloid, teenager Tapa Bhowmick’s film ‘We See” has been shortlisted in the best film category at the Auburn International Film Festival in Sydney.

Hunted down and neglected, the Indian Wild Dog finally got due recognition in the film “Wild Dog Diaries”, which won the coveted ‘Best of the Festival Grand” Award at the 8th Japanese Wildlife Film Festival.

We look forward to having you with us this season in India!

See you in India!
